Raising money for Macmillian Cancer Care

Cancer has been apart of my life even before I was born. Sadly I didn't get to meet my Granny Joan as she passed away at just 42 from breast cancer. Then in 2013 my families rocked when my Dad was diagnosed with lymphoma. Harrogate hospital was amazing, within two weeks Dad was receiving treatment. The nurses and staff were incredible but so was my Dad. He fought so hard and in just 6 months he finished his treatment. Sadly my uncle became ill with cancer just over a year ago and is still fighting it, but I know he'll get there. My Granny Joan, my Uncle and especially my lovely Dad are inspiring people. So last year me and my two cousins took on the challenge of The Yorkshire Three Peaks to give a little back to the charity which helped my Dad and Uncle. Completing it with 7 minutes to spare we raised a fantastic total of £1,500 but I want to carry on raising money for all those people going through what we have been through. Together we are stronger and we will, one day beat it for good.

My Next Challenge

Lake District Mighty Hike – Starting in the market town of Keswick I will be hiking 26 miles along the beautiful Cumbria Way, through the valleys of Borrowdale & Langdale to the welcome finish line in the village of Coniston. Please help me raise £250 for this event!
