Last week was the inaugural Harrogate Tribe Blogger Breakfast at the beautiful West Park Hotel. For those who don’t know, Harrogate Tribe is my events agency which puts on public events but can also be that extra resource for your events.

Why a bloggers breakfast I hear you ask?
Well as a blogger myself it can be quite lonely at times. It’s a profession many still don’t quite understand and with so many bloggers in the local area, it was about time we all got together for a good old chin wag.
The aim of the breakfasts is to:
1. Promote great venues across the Harrogate district through our amazing following
2. Build strong and lasting connections where everyone is welcome
3. Create a learning culture where we share advice and tips with each other
Who can attend:
Anyone who titles themselves as an influencer, whether that be a blogger, vlogger, instagrammer etc. is able to apply for a place at the bloggers breakfast. However, the venue we are working with may have stipulations on numbers or who they wish to attend and so a selection process will take place with the venue.
How often will they be?
We have decided to hold them quarterly with the opportunity to stay on after for a discussion or workshop on topics we choose as a collective.
Harrogate Bloggers Breakfast – February 2019
This month we were at the gorgeous West Park Hotel. It was bathed in sunshine as Chelsea and I pulled up outside, but there was a lot to do so we didn’t hang around to enjoy it but went inside to set up.
The West Park Hotel Harrogate

The hotel’s private dining room can fit 50 seated so perfect for meetings, events and small weddings. The long table ran the full length of the room as was dressed in white with beautiful Helen James bouquets adorned the table set for 20. All we needed to do was to write thank you cards and place them with the spring daffodils at each setting.
The hotel has 25 spacious bedrooms all uniquely named and some dog friendly. I’ve always had great service when dining at the West Park so I can imagine staying here would make for a fabulous mini break.
A breakfast fit for a blogger

The hotel went above and beyond, designing a special Harrogate Blogger Breakfast menu with oodles of choice, catering to dietary requirements and making sure we were welcome. Not only was there a continental spread but the choice of hot plates included smashed avocados, American style pancakes and a sausage butty!
Harrogate Bloggers Community
We started the morning like we were part of a newly formed self-help group where in turn we introduced ourselves and our blogs to one another. It was quite fascinating to think of the talent we have in Harrogate. In total we had 130,000 followers between us – this is no mean feat for little Harrogate – and it showed on Social!
In amongst the chatter of blogging wows and whoopsies we’d take out our phones, faff with the table, and snap away before sharing it with the people outside the doors. Where possible, I’d sat people next to other’s they may not have met to encourage new friendships and it’d worked so well.

Time just flew by and before I knew it we were going to have to make a move to our next meeting! There was just time for a group snap before we said our goodbyes.

Thank you to The West Park
The West Park Hotel is a brilliant place for locals and visitors alike. It’s great for breakfast, lunch, early evening drinks and dinner – the perfect Harrogate allrounder. A massive thank you to Karen and the West Park Hotel team for hosing our first Bloggers Breakfast, they kindly gifted all the bloggers their breakfasts and we got to take Ollie the Duck home with us.
