The 3D-lipo treatment has reportedly changed the beauty industry. Long gone is the need to go under the knife to achieve incredible results. This new treatment is even endorsed by many celebs including, reality TV star, Amy Childs. So, is this non-surgical lipo treatment the dream? I visited Harrogate Health & Beauty to find out more.

Bingo wings and muffin tops
As a woman over the age of 30, I’m quite happy with the way things are but if I was to say I am completely happy, I would be lying! I hear you; love yourself the way you are. However, if this treatment is as good as its saying it is then my bingo wings and muffin top need some attention.
3D-lipo is available from Harrogate Health & Beauty Clinic
Harrogate Health & Beauty Clinic is owned and run by Bente Rowe. Her background in the medical profession led to her opening a clinic and is now considered a leading facialist and cosmetic nurse specialises in skin treatments for wrinkle reduction and skin revitalisation.
My beauty therapist for this treatment was the lovely Georgie. Passionate about the science behind beauty and delivering good results, Georgie is a local Harrogate girl who’s worked at Harrogate Health & Beauty for the last two years.
My 3D-lipo experience
Georgie first conducted an in depth consultation where we identified the area I’d most like to disappear! As I am off on holiday to Florence soon I know I’ll be wearing sleeveless tops. I’ve always hated my chubby arms which is why I think I prefer winter clothes than summer clothes. All that bingo wing and nowhere to hide them. One of my friends always jokes and says she tucks her bingo wings into her bra… I take my hat off to my friend!
Georgie recommended a course of six, one hour treatments to include the Cavitation, followed by Radio Frequency to tone.
On my first treatment, I was surprisingly nervous, we took my measurements along three places on each arm and started with the Cavitation treatment. Georgie applied a cold jelly-like substance to the area we wanted to target, before using a round flat implement, which Georgie massaged over the skin. It didn’t hurt and was more like a soothing massage – especially after all the decorating I’d been doing. As it emits ultrasonic waves you do hear those waves in your head so don’t panic, it’s not aliens beaming you up into space, and you soon get used to it.
After Georgie used the Radio Frequency to tighten my skin. She used an implement that I can only be descried as a microphone handle but with a flat head. This head has four balls in it which transmit the frequency through the skin to hear it. Again not at all uncomfortable but you certainly felt the heat.
The results of my 3D-Lipo
After six weeks of treatment I am pleased to say I lost 1.5 inches on each arm and the skin felt tighter, with less cellulite and healthier looking too! Just look at the results. I’m most please with my elbow bulge (snigger – yes elbow bulge!) and the over all appearance looks slender. Unlike surgery, you cannot predict how much you’ll loose. Although I was hoping for more of a loss I still feel it’s worth it as I fit my clothes better and feel more comfortable getting my arms out this summer.
BEFORE AFTER
I loved my experience at Harrogate Health & Beauty, the clinic has a lovely relaxing feel to it. Georgie is an incredibly knowledgeable and passionate therapist; you’re certainly in safe hands.

How does 3D-lipo work?
3D-lipo is probably one of the most advanced treatments in the fight against targeted fat reduction, cellulite and skin tightening. Essentially, it heats up or freezes (depending on treatment) the skin, converting fat cells into liquid which can then be naturally drained by the body’s own filtration system. It has claimed to give results of up to 6cm per session!
The 3D-lipo system is flexible in order to target and treat stubborn fat areas and cellulite. The options available, depending on what you wish to achieve is Cavitation (which uses ultrasonic waves to break down fat cells), Cryolipolysis (which freezes fat cells without affecting other body cells), Radio Frequency (which serves to tighten the skin) and Dermology (rolling the skin to reduce cellulite).
Each treatment can last from 30 minutes to 60 minutes and it’s recommended you complete a course of at least six treatments for the best results. To find out more listen to founder, Roy Cowley:
