This week see’s Harrogate once again gear up for another incredible Christmas. Here’s everything you need to know:

Thursday 15th November – Christmas Light Switch On

In the Piazza at Victoria Shopping Centre will be a fabulous night of entertainment and the light’s switch on.

4pm – start

4.30pm – All together now (choir)
4.50pm – PJ Mask & Paw Patrol dance
4.55pm – Youth Jazz Orchestra
5.15pm – Albert Stott

6pm – Countdown/switch-on

After the Switch On there is a short service at St Peters Church.

Thursday 15th November to 16th December – Santa’s Reindeer Trail

Santa’s Reindeer Trail starts on Thursday 15 November and closes on Sunday 16 December. The aim of the competition is to spot all 10 reindeer within selected streets of the town centre. Once you think you have all ten return the completed form to Toyland Toyshop in the Victoria Shopping Centre for your chance to win one of the two prizes of £20 vouchers for a girl and a boy.

Thursday 15th to Sunday 18th November – Harrogate Christmas Market

Held just off the Crown roundabout, down Montpellier Hill, this four-day festive market showases Christmas crafts form across Yorkshire. This year it is expected to have nearly 200 stalls selling everything from Yorkshire cheeses and chutneys to handmade gifts and Christmas decorations. It’s been described as one of the best markets in the country!

Thursday – 10am to 7pm
Friday – 10am to 7pm
Saturday – 9.30am to 8.30pm
Sunday – 9.30am to 5.30pm

Friday 23rd November – Harrogate Tribe: An Indie Shopping Night

This year’s shopping night is set to be full of festive fun. With a photo booth from Booth Revolution. Guests will be welcomed with a glass of festive fizz and Everyman nibbles while Christmas shopping, with a host of Harrogate stalls to get you set for Christmas. For the £15 ticket price you’ll also receive a goody bag full of fantastic gifts and offers.

Thursday 22 November – Saturday 29 December – GLOW at the  RHS Garden Harlow Carr

 Bask in the ‘glow’ of the winter illuminations three evenings a week (Thursday – Saturday) from 4.30pm – 8pm, with last admission at 7pm. Tickets are available to buy online at www.rhs.org.uk/harlowcarr or to purchase on the door. RHS member adult £5; non-member adult £10. RHS member child £2.50; non-member child £5. Children under 5 go free.

Thursday 29th November – Christmas Shop Window Competition

Judging of the Christmas Shop Windows takes place between 15.30 and 20.00.

Also this year Harrogate at Christmas have partnered with Snafl on the competition. Snafl is a mobile phone app which will have a digital map showing the location of the town centre Christmas shop windows so that people can easily find the marvellous window displays. The Snafl app is available now and provides consumers with lots of incentives to go into shops, restaurants and other outlets.  During the Christmas Shop Windows competition, they will be providing their additional prize incentives for users of the app.

Thursday 6th December – Wreath Making with Leafy Couture

On Thursday 6th December, enjoy an exclusive evening with the very talented Sarah from Leafy Couture who will show you how to create your luxurious Christmas garland, with a traditional moss backed wreath and decorate with seasonal foliage and decorations.

The evening will start at 6pm with festive mulled wine followed by the workshop, delicious canapés and mince pies, made by the very talented chefs at Hotel Du Vin.

Of course, a Christmas workshop would not be complete without some Michael Bublé. So, let’s get festive!

The workshop is £60 and includes fresh festive foliage, all materials and equipment, a glass of mulled wine, canapés and a mince pie.

There’s just 20 spaces and booking is essential.
