Harrogate Blogger Yorkshire Bounce BBC Children In Need ASDA

This year I’ve set myself the task of bouncing for BBC Children In Need – Yep my crazy for the sport has reached a whole new level. As part of the BBC Children In Need ‘Act Your Age’ challenge, I’ve converted my family’s age into minutes which equity to 3hrs 58 minutes! Which I am going to attempt to spending bouncing! In one go! Ok so I’m allowing myself a 10-minute break every hour to go to the toilet, restock on food etc but that’s it.

How to help me fundraiser for Children In Need?

To help me, I’m going to need lots of encouragement. My plan is to do this on Thursday 12th November, ahead of the Children In Need TV show on BBC One at 7pm on Friday 13th November.

So please, send your support messages and if you can, donate to my Just Giving Page. I’ve even kitted myself out in a gorgeous and glitzy Pudsey bear t-shirt and cute Pudsey ears from ASDA online to really keep me going – you could get one too!

BBC Children in Need has a big mission to help ensure every child in the UK is safe, happy, secure and has the opportunities they need to reach their potential. No easy task especially after the year we’ve faced so it’s more important than ever before that we try and support this cause.

  1. hi Victoria – I write for the Stray Ferret and just wondered how your bouncing went? We may do a round up of Children in Need stories featuring local people on Monday and would love to hear how you got on. Do you know of many other local Children in Needs initiatives?

    • Hi John, lovely to hear from you. I’m so sorry, I’ve only just seen this message. The round-up has probably past but if not I bounced for a total of 3hrs 58 minutes as part of the Act Your Age challenge. I raised over £670 and the support for the local community was incredible. Let me know if you need further information or photos. I don’t know of any others other than in schools – the usual non-uniform days.

If you need anything else please don’t hesitate to call me on 0739351055.

      Thanks,

      Vix
