spinning classes in harrogate
Yorkshire’s cycling bug is set to be given a bigger boost with the launch of the first
stand-alone indoor cycling studio in the centre of Harrogate. Rivalling studios in New
York and London, GoRevolution opens its doors to pedal power on January 14
GoRevolution aims to provide more than just the opportunity to workout so why not chose them as your new hobby this January. Their uniquely designed classes see riders pedal together to upbeat music and futuristic lighting, led by motivational instructors who foster teamwork and positive energy. The concept is to encourage anyone of any fitness ability to feel part of the pack in a fun atmosphere.
“We didn’t want to go to a class and get shouted at, intimidated or bored with the routine of it. We wanted somewhere inspiring to go and exercise.” Says co-founder Suzie Thomas – former physiotherapist. “We wanted a non-judgmental class that would give us a full body workout with a feel good party vibe!”
Since running two ‘Go Yoga’ studios in Harrogate, co-founder Sophie Bickerdike realized the potential of bringing elements of yoga onto the bike after seeing more and more cyclists benefiting attending her workshops. “We’ve created a cardio-class that clears the mind of thought, just like a yoga class”
“There is nothing like this in Harrogate, we expect to run 20 classes a week which will hopefully continue to grow. We’ll run early morning classes and the usual lunchtime and evening slots. We have showers, changing rooms and complimentary towels, so it’s very convenient”
A mere 45 minute class can burn a whopping 600 calories and create a whole experience
from warm-up to personal peak fitness point to wind-down and chill out. The price isn’t bad either. Currently they have an introductory offer of £14.00 for two classes (usual price £14.00 per class) or if you’re being really brave and want to make this a long term hobby, hey why not, it’s good to look after your health. They have 50 classes for £450.00 making it just £9.00 per class!
Those more interested in improving their cycling performance can also use the state of the art colour coded biofeedback bikes to do their own training sessions during the Go Solo sessions.
Go Revolution operates on a pay-per- class model meaning no costly membership fees. So why not give it a try this January and peddle away those extra pounds from Christmas. For more information visit www.gorevolution.co.uk
