We want to know your local gems…
I’ve, very excitingly, teamed up with London North Eastern Railway (LNER) to find the top three places to eat in Harrogate. To do this WE NEED YOUR VOTE! Nominate your favourite Harrogate restaurant, cafe, takeaway, food truck here for the chance to win first-class travel and dinner for two.
So, where is your go-to Harrogate eatery? Is there a best-kept secret or have you discovered a delicious vegan pop up? Do you work for or own the finest restaurant in town? As we begin to enjoy a taste of normality \(and it tastes soooo good!), LNER is celebrating the thriving food scene in Harrogate by asking people to nominate their favourite dining spots – the places that have been truly missed over the last several months.

You could win first-class travel and a fabulous meal for two!
All nominations are welcome, from street food stalls and casual brunch places to high-class delights. Everyone that nominates will be entered into a prize draw to win dinner for two at one of the top-rated eateries, plus first-class train tickets to travel anywhere on the LNER route.
To nominate your favourite restaurant in Harrogate, simply visit the following competition page and see the T&C’s here . The competition is open from Monday 27th July 2020 to Wednesday 26th August 2020.
FYI, restaurants can be pop-ups/street food stalls/fine dining restaurants/cafes etc (there are no restrictions on the type of restaurant that can be nominated).
What’s in it for the Harrogate restaurants?
The restaurants receiving the most nominations will be crowned as The Local Gem Awards Best Places to Eat in Harrogate. Plus, after a visit from me, the restaurant will feature on the LNER’s website, providing delicious inspiration for all those visiting Harrogate by train and The Harrogate Girl’s dedicated page to eating out in Harrogate. How amazing is that!
So, get voting…
LNER – supporting local gems and connecting us to the Capital six times a day
The new Azuma trains allow LNER to offer a total of six direct Harrogate services a day in each direction, providing direct journeys from London Kings Cross. Will you be using the new Azuma? Let me know below.

P.S. This was a paid collaborating with LNER. My passion for supporting local businesses is exactly why I took this collaboration. Let’s celebrate our lovely locals 🙂
