Last Friday, Lucy (Harrogate Mama) and I hosted our very first Harrogate Tribe event with three aims in mind:

1. To connect local businesses with Harrogate residents
2. To have fun and meet new people within our home town
3. To support local charities

We were overwhelmed and honored to host over 50 fabulous ladies at Everyman Cinema. The First Harrogate Tribe event was all about an shopping and pampering oneself.

The event was all for a good cause, raising over £300 for The Harrogate Homeless Project. We are proud to support this project as it aims to provides support to homeless and vulnerably housed people who are connected to the area and helps them to move onto independent living.

What is the Harrogate Homeless Project?

The charity runs a homeless hostel on Bower Street, which houses 16 people and acts as an emergency refuge for rough sleepers in accordance with the ‘No Second Night Out’ scheme.

They also run a day service called Springboard in Harrogate town centre, providing food, shower facilities, activities and one-on-one meetings with support workers that are designed to help rough sleepers get the help and advice that they need to get back on their feet.
