The Great Yorkshire Show is a staple in the agricultural calendar and for many children across the Harrogate region. Instead of canceling, the Great Yorkshire Show is coming to you virtually – the first of its kind in their flagship show’s history. Over the three days between Tuesday 14th July and Thursday 16th July there’s a packed schedule of entertainment, demonstrations all championing and celebrating farming, food, and the countryside.
The best thing about it is that it’s all online and accessible for FREE!
What to expect at the virtual Great Yorkshire Show?
Expect a feast of all things Yorkshire and its glorious rural acres, as you visit farms, experience workshops, and go behind the scenes with food producers, livestock, farriery, beekeeping, cheesemaking and much more. There’ll be performances from East Yorkshire-based TV stunt performers Atkinson Action Horses, a cook-off between top chefs Rosemary Shrager and our local lovely Stephanie Moon. Plus you have the chance to ask your questions with the stars of The Yorkshire Vet, Peter Wright and Julian Norton, and a behind the scenes tour with Olympic showjumper Graham Fletcher.
A full schedule is published on the Great Yorkshire Show website for full details. Also head to the interactive map for more information.
The Great Yorkshire Show is organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, a charity that supports and promotes the farming industry through business, education, and funding scientific research into rural affairs. They really need our support during this time.
The show should be back next year in full bloom from Tuesday to Thursday, 13th-15th July 2021. Check out my previous post on how to navigate the Great Yorkshire Show.
