Three’s A Crowd which overlooks the majestic West Park Stray has settled in quite nicely into its surroundings. Formally know as Muckles Bar, the building was transformed by three Yorkshire folk, who’s ambition was to bring great food to the people of Harrogate.

Service with a smile at Three’s A Crowd

On the week of opening Harrogate was basked in sunshine and I had a free evening so pop along to seek out the newest bar in town. We were greeted by a very friendly chap who seated up in the window, which takes full advantage of the stray views. Even though I live a hop skip and a jump away from the bar I was, for some reason, driving so opted for their none alcoholic Gin and Tonic – which dangerously gives you a placebo effect – but was just what the doctor ordered.

A simple menu of well thought through dishes was placed in front of us. By now you should know I’m a sharing kinda girl so anyone who eats with me needs to share too. Chelsea has now grasped this and suggested we didn’t do mains but ordered all the starters as they sounded sublime!

Food which you wouldn’t want to share

We shared a beautiful tempura prawns with a pea and truffle sauce dish, aubergine risotto and smoked salmon which they cure and smoke themselves. WE also tucked into desert and hand a fabulous chocolate and raspberry emoji (one for the kids) and a deconstructed cheese cake/eaton mess! It was all so good I almost wished I hadn’t shared it with Chelsea.

On the Three’s A Crowd special board

Niki and I also visited a couple of weeks after and had a burger and mussels off their specials board and some divine mac ‘n’ cheese balls! This time we ordered our own meals 🙂

I’d say it’s well worth a visit to Three’s A Crowd and it’s a welcome newcomer to the town.
